At Circle Samhain Festival 2013, during the main ritual, a bonfire was lit. This video shows a small portion of the larger ritual, highlighting the lit bonfire. A special thanks to Reed and company for creating the wood pile for the bonfire, and to everyone who so beautifully created the Samhain ritual.

Samhain Fire Lighting 2013 Circle Sanctuary
During the Samhain Ritual at Circle Samhain Festival 2013, a number of debris piles were ignited as a part of the main ritual bonfire lighting. All of the wood and kindling for the balefires and bonfire were gathered on the grounds by volunteers dedicated to the restoration of the savanna and prairie grounds at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve. A special thanks to Reed for his work and choreography for this fire lighting ceremony.

Samhain Fire Lighting 2011 Circle Sanctuary
On Samhain 2011 at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve I took some video during the Friday night bonfire portion of the Samhain weekend. I did this at the request of the fire folk and out of my own desire to continue my video work of select material at Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve. My videos are intended to bring the magic of these moments to the broader community and to inspire magic and sharing. These videos are windows into precious moments, seeking to embrace and to share our time together, each and every one of us near and far. It is my hope that viewers love these moments as much as I, with respect for the participants and their work together.
