The bottom line on Monetize is: when are you ready for it? Whether you do a few videos a month or many videos each week, feeling it is what it is all about. I know a number of people who have their own shows on YouTube. It is their channel, they are the hosts, and they call the shots. They are media. Just as with conventional media, their work has value.
It costs to have an active YouTube channel. There are bills to pay. One can be one's own boss; and our YouTube channel can be our day job.
Rest assured, all those big time organizations, like National Geographic, which have YouTube channels and websites? They pay their IT staff big bucks to make professional quality offerings. Whether we are global or local, my advice to us all is to dream the dream and do the work.
